Pippa (Brampton) Post #1

Dear Emily, Cleo, Jasper, and litter mates Ari, Kevin, Jack, ChiChi and Fiona (born Dec 2012),

Greetings from my new home in Brampton Ontario!
After I said goodbye to you on March 15th I was good as gold in my new carrier on the drive from Brantford.  In less than an hour I arrived at the house where I live now.  While my two humans removed their boots and coats, I sat in my carrier on the hall chair and that's when I first met Hermione, my 5 year old big sister Lilac Point Siamese.  I meowed when I saw her and she stood up and peered into my carrier like she couldn't believe what she was seeing.  She hissed a little so I did too!  Then I was carried upstairs and I finally got to get out of the carrier--whoo hoo!

You cannot see me in this photo but you can see Hermione staring at me through the gate they put up to keep her out and me in on the first day.

I was so excited!  I played with my new toys and had some food and water and I got sleepy in the sun.

That first day with my new family seems so long ago now but it has only been 16 days.  Big sister Hermione has warmed up to me.  We play tag a lot.  Sometimes I chase her and sometimes she chases me.  We play whack-a-mole when I peek out from under the bedskirt and she trys to whack me.  I try to wrestle with her but (so far) she gets mad at me when I go for the take-down.

Here's a photo of Hermione supervising one of my early photo shoots

Now me and Hermione sleep beside one another on the couch but (so far) no touching allowed. Sheesh! I know eh?!

Here's a photo of me watching Linda fill the bird feeder.  When the warm weather comes I will be allowed to go on the deck wearing my new purple harness and leash.  Lots of new things to look forward to!

Well, that's all for now.  I will write again before too long.  Hope to hear from my siblings--how are you?!!  Bye for now!
Love Pippa
xoxo

  1. Pippa's littermate Fiona has the EXACT same relationship with her new 7-year-old sister Anastasia! They are currently tearing around the house after each other as I type... Fiona would love to snuggle with Anastasia too, but Anastasia isn't quite at that point in their friendship.

    1. Linda & I are relieved to hear Anastasia is like Hermione when it comes to not snuggling yet. It must just be a cat thing.

  2. Thank you so much for posting these photos and stories Barbara! It was very entertaining to read. It makes us all very happy to see how loved the kittens are in their forever homes. Kevin is still here, and is doing well. He goes to his home this weekend, with Missy.

Rachel, thank you for commenting. It's great to hear that Pippa is doing well too.
